About this piece: This artwork explores the things we hold as we move through life—the responsibilities, emotions, memories, love, and weight that become part of us.
I often think about how much of our lives are spent trying to make a living, trying to reach the next place, or simply trying to keep going. In that constant movement, we can forget to look at what we already have in our hands.
The blue vase represents sadness and heaviness, but it also represents water. Water carries weight, yet it flows. It changes shape, finds its way forward, and continues moving.
Through this piece, I wanted to reflect on everything a person can carry at once—the difficult and the beautiful—and the quiet reminder to recognize what we are already holding before life passes us by.
