About this piece: Breastfeeding explores a chapter of motherhood that once felt incredibly difficult, but has now become one of my most beautiful memories.

I remember moments when I questioned whether I was strong enough to continue. At the time, it felt exhausting, emotional, and overwhelming. But now that this chapter of my life has passed, I look back at it differently. What once felt so heavy now lives softly in my heart.

Through this piece, I wanted to honour the unique bond created through breastfeeding—the closeness between mother and child, the nourishment, the sacrifice, and the quiet strength it asks of us. It is an experience that changes us, even after it ends.

For me, breastfeeding is no longer something I am living. It is a memory I carry—a reminder that sometimes the moments that challenge us the most become the ones we look back on with the most tenderness.
