About this piece: I painted this piece thinking about the quiet moments we often forget to give ourselves. As a parent, it can feel unnatural to pause and care for our own needs. Yet I’ve come to understand that nurturing myself is also a way of nurturing my family. In taking a moment to breathe, reflect, and return to myself, I am able to show up with more love for those who depend on me.
