About this piece: This piece reflects a quiet truth of motherhood — the moment when a child begins to grow into a world of their own. As they discover independence, curiosity, and their own path, a mother’s presence shifts but never disappears.
I wanted to explore that space between protection and freedom. A place where a child is slowly reaching outward, yet is still held by the invisible strength of a mother’s love.
Even as their world expands, we continue to hold it all — their fears, their dreams, their beginnings. What once lived entirely within our arms slowly becomes part of the wider world, but the foundation remains the same.
